God's plan for you includes both!
Come and be affirmed in the call that God has placed on your life!
Join us for an interactive seminar and discover the joy of your calling!
In this video clip, Joy Huebert, Director, explains why we are offering this seminar. Use this video to explain the Gifted & Called seminar to the ladies in your church.
Gifted & Called is designed to:
-
Help identify your God-given gifting and calling.
-
Identify your personality type through a True Colors Inventory.
-
Help you understand and work with personality types different than your own.
-
Build your confidence to carry out leadership responsibilities.
-
Take a look at Bible characters to see how they understood their calling and overcame their fears to fulfill their calling.
-
Look at qualities of effective leaders.
-
Help women envision new ways of doing traditional ministries.
Even if you are not currently serving in a leadership role in your church, this seminar will encourage and inspire you. Each session deals with topics that are important in every aspect of daily life.
Come and discover how God might be calling you and gifting you to serve Him in an area you had never considered before.

Kelly Rader, Facilitator
Kelly is often described as funny and authentic. Kelly loves to watch God at work through sharing her story and listening to the stories of other women. She is passionate about the Gifted & Called Seminar because after attending a seminar as a participant she was so excited about this resource that she looked for a way to bring it to more churches within the Alliance denomination.
Kelly enjoys public speaking and hopes each woman who attends this seminar will gain a better understanding of God’s love for her and what He’s gifted her with.
Kelly is Pastor of Women’s Ministry and Executive Assistant at Yarrow Alliance Church and has been involved in Women’s Ministries for over 15 years.

Over the period of a week, ladies of Penticton Alliance Church and community made 60 kits for Days for Girls. Thank you ladies!

What's in Your Hand?
I’ve had the privilege of facilitating the Gifted and Called Seminars held in our Canadian Pacific District this past year. Attendees have ranged in age from early twenties to mid-eighties.
One recent participant reported "I enjoyed myself so much and left with so much. I have questioned my calling all my life and always felt because of my circumstances I was never ever really able to follow, let alone hear my calling. I have had some amazing things happen in the last week and I am very excited about my walk with God and my calling." It has been such a joy to see women of all ages discover or rediscover their giftings, and to watch the Holy Spirit at work.
We held a seminar in Penticton, October 23 & 24, 2015. See pictures of the action above (slide show). For more photos, go to our Facebook page.
Testimonial
Listen to a testimonial from Robin who attended the seminar in Aldergrove, June 20 & 21.
One of the seminar concepts is “What’s in your hand?” This teaching centres on using talents and resources readily at our disposal. My grandfather lived out this concept. He was a man of few words, I never heard him share the gospel, but he had a car. He used that car to get me to church and let those gifted in teaching lead me to Christ. I’m a Christian today in part because my grandfather faithfully drove me to church for 14 years (from age 2 to 16).
Do you have a closet full of fabric but no time for sewing? Why not donate the fabric to “Days for Girls” an amazing organization impacting girls around the globe by supplying feminine hygiene kits. These kits enable girls to stay in school. Without feminine supplies, girls in third world countries miss up to a week of school every month.
Do you have a garden? Last summer several of our church families were without work. I had an idea to set up a community sharing table. Each Sunday morning I set up a table outside the front doors and our congregation brought fresh fruits and vegetables from their gardens to share. As the summer progressed, people donated more than just vegetables. Cases of diapers, light bulbs and baby wipes were added. Everything brought was handed out. What a simple way for others to share their abundance.
Acts 2:44 says “And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.” NLT Can you imagine the impact on our communities if every participant in our churches shared what they had?
