Hope for the Brokenhearted
Extended to the end of 2018
In 2014, ISIS fighters attacked isolated Yazidi communities in Northern Iraq and violently killed thousands of men, women, and children. Not only were families separated, but thousands of young girls and women from these communities were captured as sex slaves sold to ISIS soldiers. These captives were beaten and brutally raped on a daily basis. Although some have been fortunate to escape, they will forever live with deep emotional and physical scars of their trauma.

The C&MA in Canada recognizes the only hope of healing, love, and restoration for these broken communities is the message of the Gospel and a relationship with the one true God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our International Workers want to bring this message of hope to these traumatized women and families who are in desperate need of it. Join us in partnering with them to reach out to the Yazidis and beyond. Help us make kingdom impact in the lives of many who are still living in pain and darkness.

Project Location: Northern Iraq

Project Goal: National Women’s Ministries of the C&MA in Canada is partnering with Global Ministries to raise $150,000 to support a newly identified team of International Workers. This fund will be used to support new opportunities in ministry and outreach on the ground, including reaching the young Yazidi women and families who have been traumatized and displaced.

Go on an Alliance Work Project
International Work Projects are opportunities to experience hands-on missions. Several teams visit our international mission fields each year to assist our International Workers and national churches by becoming involved in practical ways, such as on-site construction or renovation projects. These projects create opportunity to build meaningful relationships with national and other team members, resulting in a greater awareness of our global ministry and a greater passion for it.
Have you ever thought about going overseas to help empower International Workers, and to work alongside local people?
You do not need to be a trained tradesperson, although we are grateful for the skilled people who participate and provide direction to other willing team members.
