Reflections of Joy: Give Thanks

The reality of God is plain and open for eyes to see. In His creation, in His provision, in His healing, in His giving of Himself as the ransom paid for this prisoner to go free. My freedom bought with blood; bought with pain; bought with sacrifice – my freedom without anything else, should drop me to my knees in grateful praise. So many days pass by where I don’t even think of it. I just enjoy the comforts without stopping to say “Thanks.”
Today, I stop and say thank You Oh my Father for giving Your Son. Thank You for buying me back from the darkness of my sinful soul. Thank You that You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You, by Your Spirit, have made me an overcomer simply by returning thanks.
The Doxology of my heart:
“Praise God from Whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost! Amen”
To live in joy, to live in the fullness of my name “Joy,” I simply give heartfelt thanks to God. It really is that simple.
