Reflections of Joy: Yes, Lord

All the promises of God are “yes” in Christ Jesus.
As a child waits for parents to fulfill a promise of reward, I look to God and wait. I wait for transformation of those who once asked Jesus in, I wait for wisdom to fill my mind with answers of what’s next, I wait for His love to surround me when my heart has been broken… I wait for Him!
He promises love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. In myself alone, I am none of these, but in His promises, I am.
To the observer, I’m sure there are times when it doesn’t look like I am filled with these traits, but I know from where I’ve started until today, there has been a lot of growing. God gives me the fruit of His Spirit in seed form and in the watering of His Word, and in the cultivating of my heart’s soil through circumstances and even trials, these seeds take root and grow in my life.
Prayer: Jesus, You have said “yes” to me, and You have promised to provide all I need to live a faith-filled godly life. And each day, I say “yes” back to You. Each day, my soul and spirit turn back to You anew and I say “yes”. I know there will still be trials and testing as long as I live, but I trust You to help me get through, and I say “Yes, Lord!”
