Reflections of Joy: Remembering...

Journaling and writing down the gifts gives me peace in the tough times. When I just cannot seem to find my way back to thanksgiving, I can go back and re-read all the things that I love and the faithfulness of God.

Who am I that, He should bless me or even consider answering my prayers, but he does. He watches over me and cares for me even in the hard times. The Word says that I am more valuable to Him than the birds of the air. He provides for them and I can trust His provision for me.

The Bible also says that: “In this world, we will have trouble” so, it should come as no surprise that I am faced with annoyances and hardships regularly. But because he has overcome this world, I can lean into Him and into His strength to stand against the temptation to go down the road of despair, anxiety, grumbling and complaining.

I need to have my journal of remembrance and thanks handy and ready to hold onto. I must hold to the truth that even though this world offers pain and suffering, God remains faithful and good because He is love, joy, peace, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and He is in control!
