Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!”

Exalted: Lifted high like the resounding chorus of familiar songs. He will be exalted! As we fall still before Him, and wait for His hand to move our mountains, we must lift Him high. He is our Almighty One.

Not only will the people of all the nations one day acknowledge Him, but the earth will as well. If we stop and look at His creation, we can see that it already gives glory and honour and exultation to the Creator.

The songs of the whales, dolphins, frogs and birds give praise to their Creator, the trees bending in the wind with a rustling symphony as the background music, and in the same way, the ocean waves crash onto shore. All of nature sings praises to the One who created it. We miss so much by not taking the time to listen to what is being sung. When we rush through our days, filling our eyes, minds and ears with all stimulations of traffic, technological noise with the peeping of phones, microwaves, timers and computers, we miss the singing of the earth; we miss the music that stills our hearts.

Take a Sabbath break – take the time to listen to His creation sing their songs of praise. If we do not sing His praises, eventually even the rocks will cry out to praise Him. Enjoy the Sabbath – peace & rest, and exalt the Lord your God by singing His praises.

“...I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!”
