Reflections of Joy: Reflections of 2015

Another year of days, minutes and moments has slipped through my fingers like the sand in an hourglass. It’s time to take stock… to look back over 2015 and recount the moments; to record and lock into memory the special times, both happy and sad.

I have lots of precious memories circling around ministry, family and friends. God has proven Himself to be faithful all through the year. Even in April as I lost my sweet little Mom into the presence of the Father above, the Lord was gracious. In the summer, as we four sisters met to say our final farewell to both Mom and Dad, we watched a miraculous angel take them to the shore of a much loved bay. God showed Himself there too.

In the day-to-day living, I have so much to be thankful for: blessings and favour on a regular basis – in little things like a small part-time job that suits me perfectly, to finding just the right coat for just the right price and even thrift store finds of fine crystal stemware (long ago discontinued at The Bay) for a ridiculously low price.

These are just a few of the memories of 2015 that I have noted and recorded so that I can take them with me into 2016. These remembrances of God’s goodness will be my “faith builders” as I move into the New Year. Only He knows what I will face, whether good or bad, happy or sad. I will trust Him as I go.
